Verco’s deep insight into the UK’s Net Zero Carbon Building Standard (UK NZCBS) has been built up over time through our involvement in three of the standard’s task groups and the Offices group, as well as our role in developing a Balancing Tool. We are looking forward to working together with our clients to establish this standard as a pragmatic response to the challenges faced by real estate in the UK and beyond.
The new Balancing Tool brings together industry information and datasets from the UK NZCBS Task Groups, pulling together the top down and bottom up work. Verco was appointed to create the functional data model which has brought the vast amount of information together in one place. Julie Godefroy (CIBSE) and Clara Bagenal George (LETI) – as members of the TSG on behalf of the UK NZCBS – worked together with Verco over many months to establish and develop the model. The Tool was then tested and refined by Julie and Clara to create the performance scenarios that are fundamental to the Standard's limit setting process.
